Peer effects on educational attainment: evidence from the Netherlands

Segregation by migration background and socioeconomic status is growing in Dutch primary schools. This paper investigates the consequences of those types of segregation on educational attainment in primary and secondary schools, using administrative data on five cohorts of final grade pupils in the Netherlands.
